I am a little bit late in writing today but better late than never. Yesterday and today were a little traumatic. I had a cable to the power window snap when I was away from home. This required several hours of high speed driving to get to my local auto body shop.
Now you may ask why I came to my local auto body shop? Consider what happens if the repair goes wrong. Do I really want to drive several hours to get it corrected? So I called my local garage to get a suggestion. This also happens when I am gone with a need for mechanics too.
Ladies a good garage is money in your pocket. This is also true when you need a used car. Call the owner of the garage you trust. Even if they are not selling cars for their customers, they may know someone who is selling a reliable runner.
Also I live in a Norman Rockwellesque type community where the first words were "do you need a ride home." (Yes they also picked me up AND charged less than I was quoted.) This is the same community where when my debit card wouldn't work and I hadn't brought my checkbook to the grocery store, the manager said "oh just pay us next time you are here."
There are advantages to living in a small town. If you just keep the shades down they don't know everything you do. . . LOL
