Boy I am sure not staying on top of this blog now but all I can say is the change to full time has made a huge impact on my time and how I am spending it. Yesterday I had effectively achieved little but I made a list, cancelled a "Club of the Month, checked my bank balance (since I get paid varying amounts every two weeks), dug out some bills to pay, ran outside 4 times to empty my car and get packages, then off to the post office to return this month's "Club of the Month" item, and look for mail I need with my territory list, then drove an hour to work yesterday.
I call on stores, so there is some drive time but that is changing soon. Currently I have to exclude 20 miles or a half hour of my drive each way as personal commute. Starting in a few weeks it will be excluding 40 miles and 60 minutes EACH WAY. For some on the coasts this may sound normal but outside of Chicago, in the Midwest we just don't commute that far or am I wrong? Have things changed so much in this employer driven market that people really do drive 2 hours a day? Tell me what you think.
