Fun on the Web Dec 26 2012 New Uses

Did you get kitchen tools for Christmas?

The pizza cutter can work great for cutting tortillas – especially quesadillas! It can also be used for cutting  hot dogs to make weenie winks, homemade pasta, lattice pie crust, dough into bread sticks, omelets, grilled cheese, and brownies, into the sizes and servings you want. Would you like to make your kid a fun-shaped pancake? Simple, use your pizza cutter and you’ll be serving some amazing looking breakfast creations or even use on sandwiches. Some vegetables can be put under the blade of the pizza cutter. Green onions, parsley, herbs, and other soft veggies work great. Finally, use your pizza cutter to cut stale bread into the right sizes for croutons! More you say? Try cutting cookies, fudge, puff pastry, sheet cake, and steam slits in turnovers and pot pies. For your toddler cut meat, chicken, spaghetti, and grapes

Ice-cube tray use: use ice-cube trays to sort jewelry in dresser drawers or jewelry findings if you are beading. The trays are stackable and inexpensive, and you can fit several in a drawer.

Thrift store organizers: Rather than buying brand-new organizers buy a bunch of different baskets at the thrift store for 50 cents each, then spray-paint and put a pretty ribbon on each one. The whole project, including baskets, paint and ribbon, costs $5.
