Fun on the Web March 1, 2012 USB Devices

Well the hard drive is still limping along but my data is backed up and I do have a laptop so I guess its a plan. February was a tough month; glad to be done with it. Spring is on the horizon . . . days are getting longer and warmer.

Most of us use a variety of USB devices. From the very practical flash drives to card readers to the silly USB kitty or hand warming mittens, beverage warmers (chillers too), even an aroma therapy warmer, we all have our favorites. Gizmo recommends this program to control all those USB connections better

Computer problems

I am afraid to ask what next because it seems everything I touch is breaking or hurts me. Got burnt, cut and sick this week. Garage door failed and now its my hard drive. Will be among the missing till I get it fixed. Update: as of August 3rd that hard drive is still hanging in there and giving me ominous messages. Got a portable hard drive, saved everything I need and just kept using my computer. Buying a new one is not on the "A" List now.

Fun on the Web Feb 10, 2012 PC Security

We all know we need security BUT, what kind, what programs and what do they do? Now there is the root of the problem! Tech Supprt Alert has been around since 2000 and was managed by one person until it just got too big. Now it is a community of volunteers both reviewers and editors. To find what you need, you do need to read the reviews and make decisions based on what your usage will be going forward.

Fun on the Web Feb 8, 2012 DIY Friendship Bracelets

Sorry to be absent but I cut my finger with a serrated knife so I have been trying to avoid typing this week. It seems to be improving and I am back to my old haunts on the interweb.

There have been lots of crafts on my radar so I thought I would share this site of friendship bracelets. These would be great projects for kids or when time is short.
